Come era prevedibile, la pandemia è andata a rompere anche le uova nel paniere degli organizzatori del San Diego Comic-Con, che dopo cinquant’anni, si sono visti costretti ad annullare l’edizione della kermesse prevista per luglio, ma decisi a non deludere il loro pubblico, hanno annunciato un’atipica versione dell’evento a cui i fan di tutto il mondo potranno assistere comodamente “senza file e gratuitamente“. Il Comic-Con@Home si terrà nelle stesse date dell’originale evento, dal 22 e il 26 luglio ed i partecipanti, che avranno anche l’opportunità di stampare il proprio badge, potranno visitare una versione virtuale della Exhibit Hall in cui sbizzarrirsi a fare acquisti e prendere parte ai famigerati panel dell’evento, dedicati sia al cinema che alla televisione. L’hashtag ufficiale della kermesse sarà #ComicConAtHome.

Per quanto riguarda i panel, considerato il recente annuncio del DC FanDome, che si terrà virtualmente a partire dalle 19:00 (ora italiana) di sabato 22 agosto, è probabile che non ne vedremo nessuno collegato all’Universo DC, che sia cinema o serie TV.
Qui di seguito, il programma del SDCC@Home per seguire il quale vi sarà sufficiente iscrivervi al canale YouTube del San Diego Comic-Con sul quale i panel pre-registrati saranno caricati e rimarranno per qualche tempo.
